On My Toes

Today my sister and I were sitting by the pool discussing Andrew getting saved and baptized last week. She began to share with me how her daughter (who is 6 and became a Christian almost a year ago) is so burdened for family members who don't have Jesus in their hearts, that she cries. No my sister's words were "sobs". Daily. Sobbing for the lost folks in her life. My two oldest children are the same way. Their hearts are so burdened for our lost neighbors and family, that many days their teary-eyed prayers are for those people.

Small children with big burdened hearts and powerful prayers...crying out for the lost to be saved. Awesome.

It keeps me on my toes. And on my face before the Lord. Interceeding on behalf of the folks who don't know that Jesus died for their sins, that He loves them beyond words, that He wants them to have a new life on earth and the promise of Heaven.

I am amazed how God provides accountability for this stay-at-home mom of 4 who doesn't get a whole lot of iron-sharpens-iron girl bonding time outside the walls of this home! My children, completely unaware, are instruments of God's mighty hand - for their Mommy!

Thank you God for that.

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16b
