Grace Reaching Down
Moving to Texas has been such a bittersweet experience for us. I find myself torn between moving ahead with our lives, yet grieving the "end" of the everyday friendships that we had in North Carolina. What I mean by end is the ends and outs of everyone's day. Being able to drop by someone's home, running to the gym with friends, getting the scoop on your lives - face to face. Sure friendships will continue long distance, but I miss faces and hugging real necks instead of sending XXOO in a letter. So this week my heart was a little heavier about the subject and I found myself crying out to God, telling Him how difficult it is for me to know that my friends and family are living their lives and we are not able to be apart of it. The next day I got a letter in the mail from my mentor. It said "Not trying to make you all feel bad by sending this - just wanted to keep you "updated" on our lives - we so miss you!!" Once again, a God hug, a God nugget - whatever you want to call it. He hears our cries and knows our hearts. And His grace, once again, reaches down.

Not moving on...just sitting here, waiting for you to call me back...LOL! Just kidding about the waiting for you thing...I am just sitting here! :) I know what you are saying, but being a part of someone's life is a conscious choice...not a result of circumstances like time and distance. I LOVE YOU, Friend!
Hugs and Kisses to all y'all!!

Well, we are home now from the tourney, a little earlier than we had hoped. I know what you are saying here...I miss hugging your neck too! :) Wishing that you could come meet us at Cici's tomorrow after church...knowing that we will get to spend time together sometime soon and believing that it will be sweeter and cherished more...absence truly does make the heart grow fonder. :) I LOVE YOU, FRIEND!
