A week ago our family trekked out to the Houston Zoo to catch up on the latest animal fun! We got to see some great close ups of the lions, giraffes, cheetahs, monkeys.... Bryan and the kids loved the amphibian exhibit, especially the snakes! And the meerkats were a hoot because they would dig in the sand like dogs! Plus they were eye level for Ellie and Andrew. My personal favorite was the aquarium. One really neat part of the aquarium was the piranha tank which had a tunnel running through it that the kids could crawl through. It looked like they were in the tank with some ferocious piranha fish! We also loved the otter who enjoyed the attention of the zoo onlookers and would swim by the glass and flip and turn right in front of the kids' faces! All in all we had a fun time and made some great memories :)
