Tuesday's Tool - Resolutions...

The New Year brings such a newness to our lives; a feeling of anticipation of what's to come; a time when our hearts are intent on reaching set goals and we have such a feeling of "a fresh start". A couple things have come to mind and so this is the Tuesday's Tool...

First, Scripture says in Lamentations 3:23 that His mercies are new EVERY morning; GREAT is His faithfulness. And I love the New Living Translation's version of this verse "Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."  So as we move into the new year with that lightness in our steps, lets remember that each and every morning His mercies are fresh and new and that whether we hold to our goals for 2011, our Precious Father holds tightly to us - His faithfulness is Great! Isn't it awesome that we don't have to wait until January 2012, 2013, 2014... to have a fresh start?! We are able to have a fresh start daily! Praise God!

Second, what is it that God wants for you this year? A few years ago God began impressing on my heart to seek Him for what my new years resolution should be.  He has given me 3 different resolutions to work on over the last 4 years. And this year I believe He has given me a new one! I look with anticipation toward this revelation from God because He is always faithful to bring it to fruition in my heart, mind and life. The last 2 years the theme has been "fishers-of-men" and He has been teaching me about reaching out to people in need of Jesus. I believe that He still wants me to continue with this one, but I'm tuning my ear to His voice for directions for this next year! Exciting stuff!

So friends, what is it that God has for you this year? Matthew 6:33 says we are to "Seek first the kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Seek Jesus ... Great is His faithfulness!!!
